I have been in my current job for 1 year. I am thinking it may be the time to move on. If u know u don't have any reason to be excited about ur job, it's best to quit. If you notice any of the signs below, it could be a very good indication that it's time to leave ur job. I do notice some! In fact, Im in the majority! Huhuu..
You're getting sick.
Stress is ur middle name! Stress-related illness like migraines, insomnia, depression, anxiety or frequent infections or other illnesses are all signs that ur job worries are taking a toll on ur physical health. If ur health is suffering physically, mentally or both, ur job may not be worth it.
Your friends notice something's wrong.
If the people close to u start noticing that u're not the same person you used to be or are often concerned that something is bothering u, it's a major sign that ur work is making u unhappy, to the point that ur mood and health are suffering (see #1 above).
Your relationship with your boss/coworkers has been damaged beyond repair. Many disagreements can be resolved, but if, for whatever reason, ur relationship with ur boss or coworkers has been irreparably damaged, it may be time to bail.
You dread going to work every day.
This is a sign that ur job is not meeting ur needs, financially, ethically or motivationally and life's too short to spend it being miserable.
Family circumstances.
A change in ur personal life (marriage, etc.) may make it necessary to find a new job because of location, finances or a need to spend more time at home.
No room for advancement.
If ur company's workforce is stagnant, it means that ur career won't be able to advance. An environment that offers no room for u to move up or take on more responsibility, no promotions and no rewards is not a good place to be in for long.
So, what are u waiting for? Listen to urself when ur instincts say it's time to move on!
