A prequel to the two Underworld films, this movie looks at the origins of the seemingly never-ending war between a fashionably-dressed group of aristocratic vampires and their one-time, frequently shirtless werewolf slaves. Against the backdrop of a lycan rebellion, we get an ill-fated love story between long-haired, wolfish rebel Lucian and the head vamp's daughter Sonja. Picture Romeo and Juliet, but with more biting and scratching on the foreplay front.
